SUTRO offers a signature tasting experience for the adventurous wine enthusiast. Join Stephanie White, certified wine nerd, grapevine junky and avid hiker, for a 45 minute nature hike at historic Warnecke Ranch & Vineyard, home to SUTRO Wine Co. Discover the volcanic terroir of vine-covered Mayacama benchlands rising out of the narrow Russian River corridor. Carry home an intimate understanding of the aromatic journey from soil to wine glass. Following the hike, relax in a shaded oak grove while enjoying a guided tasting of SUTRO wines.

Fridays at 10am AND every 2nd and 4th Saturday at 10am.
Cost per person: $65.

Tasting fees are reimbursed with case purchase (12 bottles) per person/couple or upon joining the wine club.
Club members receive one complimentary tasting annually with up to 2 guests.

Tasting-only guests join the tours at 11am. Cost per person: $45.

Hike & Taste Details: Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for the hike and tasting. Wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Hike takes place at Warnecke Ranch & Vineyard on Chalk Hill Road. Tasting takes place across the road, at Medlock Ames Bell Mountain Estate & Winery, where we make SUTRO wines. After the hike, we get in our cars and drive 2 min up to Bell Mountain for the tasting. Unfortunately, therefore, Uber is not an option for this tasting experience as a car is needed. This hike is about 1.5 miles with a 100 foot elevation gain, the path is packed dirt or gravel with occasional side slope and steep climbs. Directions will be provided when your booking is confirmed.
